The market was mixed in quiet trade as you would expect on the day before Thanksgiving. The Nasd averages lagged while the New York averages were slightly higher. The COMPQ fell .11% while the SPC rose only .08%. All the major averages closed at or very near the top of their intraday trading ranges. Again the greatest strength was in the small and midcap stocks. Volume was lower across the board. Leading stocks were higher with the leaders index gaining .76% on the day and also closing at the top of its trading range. This is a new high for the index both on a closing and an intraday basis. The market is acting pretty well right now and it looks like it will go higher in at least the short term. There will be no update on Friday. I hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving. Jerry
