The market had another solid if unspectacular up day on Friday as the major averages rose between .40% on the SPY and .80% on the COMPQ. Most made new highs for the move. Volume was lower across the board showing there was not strong buying among large investors. Leading stocks had a generally good day and outperformed the overall market as the leaders index rose 1.37% on lower but still well above average volume. The index set a new high on both a price and a relative strength basis. Quality stocks are leading the market, which is what you want to see in a rally. There certainly seems to be a bid under the market and barring an unexpected event it looks like we will see higher prices. Jerry
