The market was mixed today but had a generally positive tone. The major averages ended the session little changed with the COMPQ leading the way along with the RUT. The major averages hit against round numbers and are having trouble breaking above them. Volume was higher across the board(according to esignal) and none of the major averages declined enough to produce a distribution day. Leading stocks had a generally up day as well with the leaders index flat at up .03%. This despite the fact that leaders index component RAX fell 19.58% on earnings. Volume went through the roof due to RAX and CVLT, that was added to the S&P 400. Overall the rally is intact and the long side is the place to be, although a certain degree of caution is warranted.
