The market had a mixed session today. The NASD averages and tech stocks in general did well. The major averages opened a little lower but then rallied most of the day until a little late weakness came in. All the major averages finished high in their intraday trading ranges. The COMPQ and the NDX gained .78% and .98% respectively. The SPX was higher by .16%. Volume was higher across the board. Leading stocks were moderately higher today with the leaders index gaining .35% on the day. The index closed high in its trading range on lower and very light volume. The market was mixed today with most of the strength being in the NASD and semiconductor stocks. The COMPQ made a new high. Small and mid-cap stocks lagged today along with the New York averages. Market internals were actually lower today. Overall the market did alright before the GOOGL earnings and the stock is trading higher in the aftermarket following the report. The market looks like it is acting alright now. There is still some hesitancy before the news that is still coming, but so far so good. Jerry
